Mobile Training
KL-MOBN
Mobile Networks – 2G/3G and 4G/LTE
Who should attend:
This course is intended for technicians, who wish to learn mobile access network technologies. It is also applicable for sales personnel with the same purpose provided they have some basic understanding. It is also for any engineer who desires to have a briefing on mobile networks.
Mobile networks basic understanding.
This course introduces the participant to Mobile Networks with partial attention to 2G/3G and particularly more attention to 4G/LTE.
2G/3G: To gain an understanding of 2G and 3G mobile network architecture and main network elements. This course analyzes architecture, protocols and performance both for GPRS and UMTS data service. Furthermore, WCDMA will be described. Finally, a particular attention is paid to the UTRAN network features and core network signaling protocols for UMTS radio resource allocation. At the end of this course we propose a test to check the learning of the main training contents.
4G/LTE: Describing 4G evolution and LTE technology, with particular attention to the technical and marketing issues that led to their introduction. This course illustrates the new architecture and elements of E-UTRAN access network and EPC core network. Finally, the issues related to interworking with other wireless networks and the signaling procedures are discussed.
