Course Content
During this course, trainees will use SIP equipment and protocol analyzers to set up practical sessions over live systems. The laboratory activities include testing of the main transport modes provided by NGN networks for Unified Communication applications, such as Voice, Video and Fax over IP, Instant Messaging, Presence, etc.
Course Objectives
Understanding SIP signaling within NGN and IMS networks to support multimedia services and Unified Communication. This course will analyze and compare NGN and IMS network infrastructures used to implement the operators access and backbone networks, including network equipment, signaling protocols and traffic management procedures. Furthermore, real-time services performance in different network conditions and QoS management policies are analyzed.
