Who should attend
The course is designed for VMware partner post-sales technical professionals seeking VMware competency in Infrastructure Virtualization.
vSphere 4.0 installation, upgrade, configuration, and system administration knowledge.
This course is part of the VMware® Partner University post-sales Infrastructure Virtualization competency track. This course explores the foundational principles of designing a VMware vSphere™ 4.0 virtual datacenter architecture consisting of VMware ESX™/ESXi 4.0 and VMware vCenter™ Server 4.0. While not a prerequisite, this course is helpful in becoming a VMware Certified Design Expert.
Students completing this course must complete other courses to gain post-sales Infrastructure Virtualization competency.
At the end of the course, you should understand the process and principles involved in designing vSphere architectures:
- Discuss the importance of a thorough design process
- Describe steps to include in a design process
- Evaluate business needs and design considerations
- Implement best practices to meet business needs
